Rust and iron – I grow rust on fabric, paper and cardboard. Sometimes I create spaces of nothingness; other times I use iron bits and pieces as pigment – I distribute them across the fabric’s surface, imagine the shape I wish to occur, let go, wait, water them and repeat this series of actions over and over again, as if in a painting made through the bodily act. I am aided by the sun, enable the process to unfold and leave room for chance.
